Whether you’re stepping into the studio for a boudoir experience or heading out for a portrait session, preparation can make all the difference. Here are my top tips to help you feel confident, comfortable, and ready for your big day.
Avoid spray tans—they can look uneven on camera.
Moisturize your skin in the days leading up to your session.
Touch up roots or color a week in advance if you’d like your hair freshly done.
Bring 2–3 lingerie looks you love (bodysuits, bra/panty sets, or something unique to you).
Don’t forget accessories like jewelry, heels, stockings, or a robe—they add variety to your gallery.
Stretch before your session—arch your back, point your toes, and sit tall.
Remind yourself: this experience is about celebrating YOU.
Choose outfits that coordinate but aren’t too matchy-matchy. Think complementary colors and comfortable fits.
Bring a backup outfit just in case (especially for kids or outdoor sessions).
Make sure everyone is well-rested and fed before the session—it makes a huge difference in mood and energy!
Pack water, snacks, and any small comfort items for little ones.
Think about props or meaningful items you’d like to include—blankets, flowers, or even a favorite toy for your child.
Don’t stress about perfection—your unique personality and connections are what we’ll capture.
Arrive a few minutes early so you can relax and settle in.
Trust the process—I’ll guide you through posing and prompts so you feel at ease.
Most importantly: enjoy yourself. The best photos come when you’re having fun and being present.
No matter which type of session you choose, the goal is the same—celebrating your story and creating images you’ll cherish forever.
